Stocks Are Mounting a Broad Rally a Day After S&P 500 Entered Correction

Apparently enough people on Wall Street saw those S&P 500 correction stats.

The market benchmark rallied 1.9% on Friday after closing in correction territory yesterday. The Dow was up 600 points, or 1.5%. The Nasdaq Composite, which entered a correction last week, was up 2.3%. The Russell 2000 was up 2.2%.

Stocks were rallying across the board, with 459 S&P 500 stocks trading higher on the day. All 11 major sectors were gaining, and consumer staples and health care were the only two sectors that weren’t up at least 1%.
