Robinhood has rolled out its AI-driven product, Digests by Robinhood Cortex, available to all UK users, providing plain-language explanations of what is causing stock price changes.
The tool is the first product powered by Robinhood Cortex, the company’s artificial intelligence investing assistant. Using generative AI, it monitors breaking news, analyst reports, technical indicators, and Robinhood’s unique data to produce clear, short descriptions of why a stock is moving.
Jordan Sinclair, President at Robinhood UK noted: “Digests by Robinhood Cortex is our first AI insight tool – built directly into our app. We believe our UK customers – from first-time investors to seasoned traders – will appreciate the timely, accessible summaries that highlight what may be moving a stock. We will keep introducing AI tools that prioritise customer education and help our investors navigate the market with confidence.”
Moreover, the functionality will be free to use at launch and can be found directly on the stock detail page. Digests, according to Robinhood, is suitable for all expertise levels and functions as a “powerful information-gathering layer” to assist users in understanding market activity, developing their own investment thesis, and validating signals before trading.
Digests, which were first introduced at the company’s Lost City of Gold event in San Francisco earlier this year, began shipping to clients in the United States this summer. Since then, Robinhood reports that hundreds of thousands have utilised it.
According to the corporation, 95% of surveyed US customers liked the function, citing the relevancy of the data, the up-to-date information, and the convenience of use.
Digests will first cover several of the most widely traded equities on Robinhood, with additional AI-powered tools planned as part of the company’s larger objective to improve user education and trust in investing.
