Focus Financial Partners appoints new president and COO

Focus Financial Partners has appointed Adam Birenbaum as its president and Justin Ferri as chief operating officer (COO).

Both individuals have experience within the company and will report directly to CEO Michael Nathanson.

Birenbaum and Ferri will collaborate with Nathanson and other leaders to drive the company’s transformation and growth in wealth, family office, and OCIO services, while also providing “value” to its network of more than 60 firms.

In his new role, Birenbaum will focus on furthering the “strategic vision” of the business, promoting alignment within the network, and facilitating “long-term value creation” for clients and advisors.

He will maintain his leadership responsibilities with Focus Partners Wealth and Focus Partners Advisor Solutions, where he has managed the integration and expansion of various wealth management businesses.

Ferri, as COO, will oversee operations, including trading, client services, and firmwide infrastructure, while continuing to manage the daily operations of Focus Partners Wealth and Focus Partners Advisor Solutions alongside Birenbaum.

Nathanson said: “As we continue to scale Focus with purpose and intention, I am pleased to have Adam and Justin step into their expanded roles.

“This natural evolution of our executive team reflects our commitment to convergence and coherence across our business, with the goal of creating a more unified, aligned, and forward-looking organisation.

“Both Adam and Justin bring extraordinary leadership and deep experience to our executive team, and I look forward to all that our team will accomplish together.”

Focus is an “interdependent” alliance of wealth management, business management, as well as associated financial services firms.
