The market benchmark narrowly avoided closing lower with a gain of 0.01%. The Nasdaq Composite also snapped its losing streak at four days. It rose 0.3%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 187 points, or 0.4%.
Nvidia stock led a rebound in stocks linked to the artificial intelligence trade ahead of its earnings report, due out within the hour. The report will likely dominate the narrative tomorrow as Wall Street parses through the firm’s April quarter outlook for signs the AI trade still has juice.
