Powersports Finance News is pleased to announce that HorsePower Financial Services Chief Executive Chris Garrido and Chief Financial Officer Laura Middendorf will join discussions on financing processes and relationships between lenders and dealers at Powersports Finance Summit 2025, taking place Sept. 23-24 at the Sonesta in downtown Columbus, Ohio. 

Garrido has led motorcycle leasing company HorsePower since October 2020. He has more than 35 years’ experience in financial services in multiple leadership positions. Prior to joining HorsePower, Garrido was CEO of Smartpay, Tempoe and FlexPay under WNLI Holdings. He also was an executive at Ace Cash Express, Rent-A-Center and EZ Corp. 

Garrido will join other industry leaders on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 2:15 p.m. ET for the “Rethinking powersports financing processes, procedures and strategies in a digital age” panel. The conversation will touch on customer shifts, pre-approval, automation and digital-to-retail integration.  

Middendorf joined HorsePower as CFO in November 2020 and oversees company finances and provides leadership in underwriting, collections and operations. Her career spans nearly 20 years in the financial sector, where she has held several leadership positions. 

She will join other industry leaders on Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 9:45 a.m. ET for the “Driving smarter credit decisions in powersports: Balancing lender and dealer needs” panel. The conversation will touch on collateral risk, portfolio growth and automation in decision-making.
